Just played 10 Candles. What an amazing game. The tension and atmosphere the candles provide are just amazing. Strongly recommended!

If you pass everything through AI, it will all read very AI-ish. There's an AI text style that is easy to spot, and by doing it, you remove the originality and the character from your text.
Do you like resource management in your campaigns? Does a bit of "survival mode" make games more interesting?

For example: “You guys have accepted a job to rescue the king’s son who has been kidnapped, and you are on your way to the city of Shelir where he was last spotted. You are on the road halfway through your trip, going through a forest. Everyone! Roll for perception (Ambush).
- Use pre-generated characters if you are playing the game for the first time with those players.
- Cut to the chase. Instead of wasting time setting up the place and letting the players find what they have to do, just start already in the mission and when the exciting stuff starts.
Tips on running a one-shot:
You’ve got little time to build a solid story, so skip anything unnecessary. One-shots should be short and intense, trimmed of the extras you’d normally include in a full campaign.

In my case, they have a name, ADHD hyperfocus 🫥
Nice! I've been considering using it, but the idea of taking it too far or too long and pissing everyone off at the table has put me off from doing it.
Love the simplicity and elegance of it. Super cool.
How to create chaos and mess up with your players: swap the NPC’s goal for a lie they genuinely believe.

Have you guys tried it? Did your players fall for it? Did they find out about it? How did they feel about it?

Maybe worlds could be supplements, starting with Earth and maybe another one with crazier fauna, and then expand bit by bit.
Sounds amazing, but I can see a problem. Creating a single world is extremely time-consuming; having to create lots of them, I don't see it as feasible, unless you sacrifice quality for the sake of quantity, but then you'll end up with lots of shallow and uninteresting worlds.
Worldbuilding truths:
- Believable cultures beat realistic geography, every time.
- A few well-developed species beat a million random ones, always.

That's a bit unnerving. Hope he's fine.
That makes more sense. You got me confused 😊

I've been considering a massive insectoid (cocoroach-like) that is indestructible by conventional means (aka normal weapons). Lives underground, and when it comes up, the ground explodes, and swarms of smaller insects come out to devour everything.
What do you understand by a non-sentient animal? a monster/construct?
If Tolkien were alive, he would be a forever GM. He would give their players an extremely beautiful and overly detailed description of how the Orks are running towards them, then he would lean back in his chair, give a puff to his pipe, and say:
Roll for initiative! 😄

Hi, an Essex-based new Indie TTRPG developer here :)
Not as extreme as Paranoia, cooperation and teamwork are a good thing in the game. (Sorry for the late reply)
