This isn't a thing in any creative circles, ever. The only time you don't need to talk to an artist about using their work in your publication is if you buy their stock art, which comes with a license that covers a conversation about rights, usage. This person's explanation is extra ripe bullshit.

I can't help to wonder.

What proportion of soil qualifies as low nutrients ones that would be impacted?

What flora populates such soil and how threaten is it?

How often are remains actually spilled on these?

It comes across as rather overstated in the grand scheme of things.

I also have little sympathy for hikers who are "horrified" by a couple of piles of ashes.

They can pick up all the litter they encounter on the way before I'm interested in their pearls clutching.

One slight difficulty I have is that, even when we try to remember "forgotten" games and cultures, we often talk mainly about the United States.

I'm personally keen to remember the Collective Endeavour (Scotland and UK) as well as The Forge. And there'll be other movements in other countries too.

Dear President Obama,
I saw in your statement you said "Israeli families" & "the people of Gaza."
Palestinians have families, too.
This kind of language contributes to dehumanization. Dehumanization is part of what caused so many to stay silent as 20,000 children were killed in this genocide.
I've sat with wonderful Palestinian families from Gaza. They look at their children just like we look at ours - with all the love & hope in the world.
