Made one of these for each of the kids. Included a few photos and their name, and a little message about how much I enjoyed working with them and that I hope they can use the journal to collect memories from future shows they are in.

I got absolutely blindsided this morning on FB. A gay guy I did theatre with years ago, who has lived with his life partner for 20+ years, was whinging he couldn't get his correct house in the hp Crocs cos they'd sold out... I was just like... Um... Did I miss something here?

One of our Kurt's warm ups/vocal stims was the riff at the end of defying gravity, and while I'm going to miss the shit out of these kids, I'm ready for a break from that particular vocal line... Though he did write me an adorable little thankyou note 🥺 I'm honestly surprised I had any tears left

If I never go to sleep, tomorrow will never come, and I will never have to deal with the final two shows, and the post show depression that I already know is going to SUCK ASS!
Finally got to see it from the other side of the curtain tonight. Final two shows are sold out!

Tech week for SOM.
So far I've
Broken two zips
Put two kids in each other's costumes
Missed Gretl's entrance in once scene cos I couldn't buckle her shoes
Got the other Gretl's dress stuck on her mic tape
Forgot to pull Marta's socks up and sent her on stage with them bunched around her ankles

Very rarely do I remember my dreams.
Last night I vividly remember dreaming that I quit my job. In a spectacular way. So much so that I woke up and was slightly worried about finding a new job...
Thankfully I'm on holidays, hopefully some time away from work clears my head a bit.

I'm actually not on stage for this one. I'm chaperoning and dressing the kids. They're so freaking cute, and talented. We have two casts of kids who will alternate shows, but out Liesl stays the same. Gonna miss them when the show ends 😞
