The sister will only be joining us for dessert. Which she will bring so she knows it's something she can eat. Yasssss. I get my chicken pizzaiola.
Update on the uncle
They think it's epilepsy related and have upped his meds. He's thankfully getting overnight care too, at home.

The extra painful thing is that even if we just have a meal at home together on my actual birthday, I don't get to eat what I want cos my sister is gluten free, won't eat tomato, capsicum or cheese, or anything that is grown underground. So we'll end up having something she can eat 😞

Finally booked a phone appt for the next step in my foot surgery. Only been 6 months since the initial appt.

My birthday is going to be so forgotten this week with all of the stuff going on with my uncle.
They still don't know what's wrong, possibly an epileptic seizure, but all test are coming back clear 🤷🏼♀️
Meanwhile he's having more dizzy spells and falls, and we're having to employ an overnight carer.

Dad came home at 5.15am, the hospital rang at 6.30 telling him to come pick Cam up, there's nothing wrong with him.
So he's now here in the next room, after telling him 10+ times to put his pjs on, then falling over. He talks in his sleep and calls out all night.
Another 3 hours of sleep tonight 🤷🏼♀️

And he spent most of his 65th birthday ramped or in emergency after he fainted for the second time this week. It's currently 1am. He's still in the hospital. My dad is with him but there seems to be a fair bit of "we don't want to deal with him, he's disabled" going on.
The NDIS currently want PROOF that my down syndrome uncle, who also has dementia, isn't going to "get better"
What? Are we waiting for him to stick a fork into the toaster?
Or blow up the microwave because he put his wheat bag in water before heating it?
Or go wandering the streets at night?

6 of my SoM kids just got cast in Oliver! 🥹 one Kurt is Oliver, one Friedrich is Dodger, and both Martas, a Brigitta and a Louisa are in the kids chorus.
I'm so freakin proud of them!

This idiot (af) turns 65 this week and had cake with Caramello koalas at church this morning for breakfast. I think we'll feed him that for breakfast every day. He's so entertaining today. Bouncing off the walls, and told us the cake was cut into round squares 😄

Would dearly love to go out chasing pretty coloured sky lights, but I'm in pjs, I have to be at work at 9 tomorrow, and last time I went out I sat on the beach, by myself, in the cold for two hours and this is all I got.

Pageant day! Today was the 93rd Christmas pageant here in Adelaide which marks the start of the Christmas season. It is the biggest parade in the southern hemisphere with over 3000 costumes 17,000 volunteers and 320,000 spectators. People were literally camping overnight for their spots.
