o no charlie kirk got assassinated? Couldn't happen to a bigger fucking worthless prick of an individual. I know there's no afterlife but if there was, Charlie is out there licking Satan's cum off his lips. What a sad, sick shallow man.

Every time I watch Titanic, I sob uncontrollably for the loss of that beautiful, beautiful fucking ship. My god that was a pretty boat.

And it's sad about the people

I feel like you have to have been born precisely between 1972 and 1978 to find anything Chevy Chase ever did funny. But show those people Fletch or Vacation and they'll lose a spleen

Good. I hope airline seats are made non-reclinable. Then maybe you short assholes will learn that airline companies are just shit.

Signed a person over six feet who has had multiple trips ruined by assholes slamming back on their seats and wrecking my knees, back and oh yeah, lunch. GFY

Honestly for those who enjoy a good message board troll, they are totally flailing. All you have to do is call them a pdf supporter and they fold like cake.

That was definitely the best yet of the #KnivesOut series, and probably accidentally timely that the closing # was a great Tom Waits tune (as his birthday was just trending). Like the first it was both funny and touching, with some fantastic performances. Excellent pacing, too, for a longish film.

Well this new Knives Out movie is already a qualified banger IMO. I can't stop laughing at this shit, being apparently 12.

Jurassic Park opening weekend. I wasn't too well at that time, and had driven from Chicago to get some much needed alone time. Ended up in Minneapolis in a multi-ethnic neighborhood and stopped to see the movie. Everyone was having a blast and yelling at the screen and it was SO cathartic
The one I always think of is the midnight premiere of Revenge of the Sith in Arlington VA. Met up w/a couple friends from LiveJournal, but the entire theater was like a big party all night.

Not the best Star Wars film, but also not the worst, and the most fun I can remember having at a movie ever.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.

If you are considering end-of-year charitable donations, I have to recommend one of the best organizations out there by all metrics, APOPO.

The Time choice of "architects of AI" for Person of the Year might have been a rather scathing choice had they produced the entire issue of the magazine with AI whist firing the editors.

But nah they went safe

The Casey Hudson Star Wars thing is a little too much for me right now, you know. Like a starving person needing to be re-acclimated to solid food it's to much to take all at once. I'm afraid I am going to have to be spoonfed tiny bits of character development in sporadic doses.

27 new measles cases in SC this weekend.

"More than 250 people, including student, are in quarantine — some for the second time since the outbreak began in October. Most of the state's new cases stemmed from exposures at Way of Truth Church in Inman."

I guess Jesus was the reason for the measlin'.

youtu.be/5rOiW_xY-kc When this song came out I considered it pablum. Later I came to realize what it meant. Everyone wishes to feel their agony is special and personal, and it truly is. But there's something to be said for shared agony. It's a brilliant song and an even more brilliant video

I feel like this is a long-neglected Christmas movie because it's only tangential to Christmas. That said, it's charming, it's adorable, and it's one of Ginger Rogers' best screwball performances. There is nothing not to like about this film.

One thing I want to instill upon my fellow artists: take photos and screenies of your works in progress. I cannot name a fellow artist I know whose work has not been snatched. For legal purposes, keep record of your works.
