it is, and I saw some people discussing it in other places, talking about how it really hurt the parish; thankfully, other priests made things better and some families were able to get healing and continue there (and new people, too)

And St. Gregory's, that was the parish I went to when I was living in the DC area (early 2000s). It was a nice community but also one which suffered as the result of some bad things which happened decades earlier.

I only watched it briefly after I converted, and then only from time to time to see what they were telling people and to confirm my disappointment.... it was certainly when it was clear where the channel was going

yes, when people get trapped by EWTN's vision, one can see how it shapes them in bad ways; and though EWTN came from America, sadly it is influencing Catholics in many parts of the world today. It doesn't embrace the spirit but the letter that kills :(

When I became Catholic, I saw the dangerous influence of EWTN upon American Catholicism, and now I believe that influence is one of the major sources of the conflict between Rome and America, a conflict which seems to be leading to a potential schism between the two:
