This moment is confusing, but cost will never be a barrier with Hey Jane. While we’re not impacted, we stand with the clinics that are. Forcing providers to limit care—or who they serve—is an attack on reproductive freedom and health care. Period.

Starting this month, a GOP-led budget bill forced some health care providers into an impossible position: choose between serving Medicaid patients or continuing to provide abortion care. Hey Jane, however, is not impacted by this bill.

Mifepristone was first developed in the 1980s and was legalized in countries like China, Great Britain, and Sweden in the late-’80s and early-’90s. The FDA approved mifepristone in 2000—after years of studying the drug to ensure it was safe and effective.
