Don’t ban people from football, from wards, from park runs or from spaces. Find a way to include. Fund the research to understand levels of activity and need, then redesign things to accommodate. What we are doing to trans people is horrendous #LwithTheT

Decided easiest option was to arrange a winter gathering in the office, rather than organise a place we could all meet. Temperature control got so out of hand for the menopausal women, some men put their coats back on. Turns out I’m great at Cornhole though

When we start unravelling progress under the guise of protection, to deny children an early understanding of diversity and difference, we do them a disservice.

Sad the Girlguiding movement faced pressure to change. I hope we get sensible, sensitive guidance soon. For trans people and for society

My wife has been HIV+ for 34 years. She’s alive today b/c work of activists who destigmatized the virus, pushed medical science to adapt & find ways to treat it, & advocated for gov health programs that helped fund her care. The current U.S. regime may want to go back in time, but we won’t let them.

Popped downstairs to let the dogs out. I’d left the radio on for them. Just heard Jeremy Vine get all falsely aerated and continually interrupt an MP about the OBR “black hole”, before inviting Edwina Currie to comment. Poor bloody dogs

I might be knackered after a full day with seven 10yo girls in London, followed by our nieces 18th birthday last night, but watching that Karen Carney back story on catchup #Strictly broke me this morning. We are still so shit to girls and women. Hope she wins

🛍️ This Black Friday NION Women are encouraging brands to ensure their shopping spaces are welcoming for everyone, including trans customers who continue to face uncertainty and exclusion.

Read our latest blog on why this matters, and what retailers can do to lead with integrity.
This isn’t just retail, it’s trans-inclusive retail - Not in our name
NION Women highlight why inclusive retail matters. We encourage brands to support trans customers, and show inclusion and equality for all.

The irony is that one of the reasons Harriet Harman decided not to pursue Badenoch for hacking her website was a belief that more black women in politics was a good thing. So, in a small but salient way, Badenoch owes her position to the very solidarity she now mocks.

Sucks for the OBR, but I bet hundreds of urgent projects have just kicked off across the UK public sector to fix the issue that attached documents are technically available on the web before scheduled web page updates go live on their site.

Absolutely Fabulous really is an amazing TV show. watching it feels like an out of body hangover experience. keeping track of what actually happens in an episode other than 'patsy and edina smoke, drink' ranges from difficult to impossible. it kicks ass.

Black Friday (aka black eye Friday/Mad Friday) is the last Friday before Christmas Eve, where people knock off early, get drunk and my big brother Martyn lies to our Mam and Dad about “falling over while waiting for a taxi”.

God it's so cool that so much of British and European nationalist politics has broadly been shaped by warehouse clickfarms rented by guys in South Asia running "how to make money from racist old people" workshops, and that this has had more influence on media and politics than any grassroots group
