Hi everyone! Hilde here!

I upscale primarily to Bimbo and Tre+ right now! I've done vanilla mashups and such in the past as well. Will mostly be using this account for releases and gpose (when I remember it exists, I am a humble goldfish!)

Over the last few days there has been a lot of misinformation and
desperation spreading, and many bad actors trying to swoop in and be "saviors" in this time of chaos. At this time we would like to remind you that, as Otter of Penumbra himself has said:

"Anyone participating in the current rush to provide
the next Mare is automatically very suspicious" and "participating in it
implies that they're doing it for the wrong motivation"

We Echo this sentiment.

Anyone trying to create the next "Mare" is doing so with a secondary motive and should not be trusted. Furthermore, of all the clones we are aware of (and those that keep popping up) EVERY SINGLE one has been found to either be made by people who you should not want to associate with for bad misconduct towards the community, people who are willing to lie and be deceitful in an attempt to clout chase, or people who's quality and reliability of code cannot be trusted for safety and stability.

We would like to make it clear that we do not support or endorse ANY Mare Synchronos Clones/Forks/Replacements, and WILL NOT until one has been officially added to the Sea of Stars Repo.

No one on our team or devstaff approves of or endorses the current
remaking of any new mare. Anyone who says that their replacement was made with the blessing or help of one of our devs, or uses the names of our plugins in association with theirs is LYING and is
clout chasing and trying to gain trust they did not earn.

Exercise caution and do your own research when it comes to anyone claiming to be 'The Next Mare Synchronos.'

I was showing someone this process, but realized I didn't know if a guide on it existed or still exists from the bird app, so I threw together one just in case

Short Guide On How To Make Your OC‘s Root Height Change in Penumbra!
comes with alt text and step by step instructions

Short Guide on how to make your OC's root height change in penumbra by Beeeee
1. Start by making a new mod (hit the plus button in the image and then it will prompt you to name it)
2. Next name your mod as you wish (I recommend your OC's name and 'height' added)
3. Make sure to enable the new mod (Image of enabled the checkbox and then clicking on the 'Advanced Editing' tab)
4. Click on the 'Advanced Editing' tab

5. Pick your race that your character is (drop down menu with race choices will appear under the racial scaling section)
6. Pick either max height or min height for scaling attribute (next drop down menu with choices for maximum or minimum height)
7. Now enter a number to test out if you want taller or shorter. You can edit this number later if you aren't happy with the height change. Taller OCs I suggest adding .05 or .1 to start with when increasing height and vice versa for short OCs
8. Now hit the '+' button to add this to apply to your OC
9. Now hit 'Apply Changes' and then go back to the main penumbra screen and redraw your character and the new height should apply!

But why use Penumbra instead of the root scaling in Customize+?
Great question!

When editing the root scaling in C+, your name plate will either end up WAYYY above your head for short OCs and for taller OCs, it will end up inside your head or chest. This tends to make it a little strange looking huh? Or maybe it makes it harder to select your character or other people to do so when looking at you in Mare.

Penumbra scaling on the other hand makes it where your name plate moves with you! So that way it doesn’t look awkward as hell!

But! This is also all just preference as well! You do not have to use penumbra scaling! C+ root scaling works just fine too! It is just an alternative method to C+ for the root scaling height. I also understand C+ can be frustrating to figure out at first, so this is another way to just change the height of your OC as well if you do not wish to dive into C+ just yet. (But also, C+ is great you should definitely try it for other scaling purposes)

First image has a highlander man on the left with his adjusted penumbra scaling height. His name plate is above his head and does not block his face being taller now
The second image which is on the right is of the same highlander man, but with Customize+ root scaling instead and the name plate is now inside of his face instead
