2 nights ago I watched Grave of the Fireflies for the first (and probably last) time.
I had to go and sit and hold each of my kids hands as they slept, and I cried.
Eventually went to bed myself and cried more. Been a long time since a film affected me quite that much.

30 minutes in to Begins, and it's packed full of fantastic performances already.
Caine as Alfred is heartbreaking.
Tom Wilkinson is perfect as Falcone.
All the small performances are great - Joe Chill, corrupt judge, homeless guy with the coat. Just brilliant
