So true. My friend is on the confidential role too so she has get someone to sign her papers - she's only voting at all because I've been nagging her for weeks and this might be a step too far if she doesn't feel like going into the civic centre this morning.

What if we didn't vote for mayor but just councillors and they decided among themselves who should be mayor like other governance bodies.

I can't help feeling it would help but maybe I'm just exhausted from 16 mayoral candidate and low voter turnout.

My friend's voting papers arrived yesterday.
