Ancap position: It should be legal to shoot people looting private property, and *illegal* to shoot people looting govt “property.” Nothing the State owns was gained legitimately; all was taken by conquest, plunder, or bought by looted wealth. Anyone who rips off the State should be praised.

Conservative statists do not have the same notion of freedom as normal people do. The classical liberal notion of freedom is that no one *should* prevent you from doing non-aggressive actions. Even if those actions are vices.
