Weirdly enough it sort of was. There was anti immigration feeling right from the beginning.
I'm reading "Liberty's 1st Crisis" and it's sobering to come to grips with the fact that this country has always used fear of immigrants(Irish Scots French and German at the time) to consolidate power.

My city, Worcester in MA, has a community fridge program too. They have partnered with our local Trader Joe's to help keep the fridges stocked.
I'm hoping other community fridges programs can look to their local Trader Joe's for help too.
