The Arctic’s strength is key to Europe’s strategic independence.

We will partner with like-minded nations for a sustainable, and peaceful future for the Arctic.

Russia has no genuine interest in peace, but staying the course delivers results. It is becoming increasingly difficult for Putin to finance his war and Russia's war economy is already weak. We will make it weaker.

This visit to London concludes a week in which we have made important decisions in the European Union. Denmark has been a driving force in ensuring that we in Europe now have a plan for how we will strengthen our defence and our defence industry, so that we can protect ourselves.

"Russia's constant attacks remind us that we must continue to support Ukraine's defence efforts. They are fighting for all of Europe. We have to ensure long-term and predictable support for Ukraine. So that they are as strong as possible on the frontline.

This is an era of geoeconomics.

And we must use our geoeconomic weight to protect our strategic sectors and supply chains

It’s a matter of national security.

On 23 October, EU leaders welcomed the Defence Readiness Roadmap 2030 at the European Council. The roadmap sets the course for EU Member States to work together to address shortfalls in all priority capability areas and to ensure that we are defence-ready by 2030.

Ahead of the European leaders' meeting on 23 October, the EU adopted the 19th package of sanctions against Russia, keeping the pressure high on the aggressor. For the first time the EU is hitting Russia’s gas sector, the heart of its war economy.

Next week, on 22 October, the first-ever EU-Egypt Summit will take place in Brussels, bringing together EU leaders and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

Drones are redefining warfare.
Having drone defences is no longer optional.

Our target is to have functional anti-drone defences by the end of 2027.

My visit to the Srebrenica memorial moved me so deeply.

I honoured the memory of the more than 8,300 Bosniak boys and men who were murdered in Srebrenica 30 years ago.

And I paid tribute to the mothers, wives and daughters carrying the weight of loss for three long decades.

Ukraine’s fight for freedom continues.
And so does our support.

In Kyiv, I was glad to hand over equipment worth €6.5 million to Ukrainian services.

This includes drone jamming systems, minibuses and four-wheel drive vehicles to reach remote and inaccessible locations.

Russia is intensifying its attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Putin aims to inflict maximum suffering on Ukrainians as winter approaches.

Europe is ready to support Ukraine further – new measures are in the works.
