(bc Homura already is a magical girl and controls time), with that knowledge and advantage, Madoka gives her the request to go back in time and save her from being tricked and Homura then makes a promise and after reseting that timeline she becomes hardened and determined to keep that promise.

and Homura made a contract bc she wanted her to live again and felt guilty that Madoka saved her life and died instead of her. Her wish was simply to be her protector instead of being protected, but in a timeline 3, when they're both fully informed of the truth and both defeated again,

Actually, the promise happened in timeline 3 I think (not entirely sure of the number, but not in the 1st one). Homu made a contract after Madoka was defeated by Walpurgis in original timeline (Madoka was aparently still unaware of the whole truth)

The thing is, it doesn't necessarily happen with every single song of those, but some are weirdly uncomfortable to listen to when I remember some moments of listening to them while I was paying attention to Simba. Then those triggers occur of course.

into play for this new reality. Sayaka calling her out on always running away really sold the concept that Homura is SUPPOSED to be shown weaker in rebellion, atleast mentally, because she out of her element. shes trying to gain back whats has always given her an advantage, knowledge.

What the fuck... I struggle to even listen to songs I've been listening to while Simba was alive...

I can't stop thinking of him and all the worst situations through his last weeks... I can't think of him without the flashbacks from the worst moments, I can't think of him without being triggered
