Peterboroughs finest purveyor of Honey Badgers.

President of the National Union of Honey Badger Farmers and Union of Left Handed Earwig Tamers.

One foot in the grave was a fly on the wall documentary and not a comedy.
Have always played Driving home for Christmas on repeat after my last shift (the year I drove back from London was a tad interesting 😅)

This year with the passing of Chris Rea, a little more poignant

Labour shouldn't score own goals, by postponing 2026 local elections in the same way the US shouldn't redact Epstein images that have Trump in them

Regardless of the reason, it sends the wrong message

Its been rumoured that Bristow, the Conservative Mayor for Peterborough and Cambridgeshire is not engaging with non Tory councils over bus improvements.

We know he has delayed franchising and has only invested in bus improvements in Tory council areas

I hope that isnt right.

A protest group can offer anything, as they won't have to deliver

Reform Ltd supporters need to be aware that delivery is harder than demanding

Reforms tax allowance changes alone, will remove the same funding that the government spend on defence.

That's not achievable and dishonest

Americans plead allegiance to their flag.

Brits please allegiance to the monarch.

It's unclear why so many right wingers continue with the Americanism of Britisg culture.

But when you think about it, its obvious

The BBC are guilty of sloppy editing, they may be guilty of bias.

But the edited clip wasn't AI

The British parrots who want to see the BBC sued, are a disgrace

With the US president appearing to piss off almost every country across the world, it highlights the commonsense for Universal to open Theme Park in the UK.

Didn't take @lner.co.uk long to dissolve into a wobbly vat of jelly

Cancellations, new clustered departures mean long gaps to destinations

Chaos as no carriage letters loaded on trains

Nobody has a clue whats going on

Oh dear

There is an evil part of me, that wants the right wing idiots actually own the shit they peddle.

See them lose their benefits

Sq⁷ee things dont get better

But that makes me a mean person and I won't sink to their level

If right wing activists are not prepared to defend their national broadcaster, they won't be prepared to defend the values they claim to take seriously

As LNER offer up a significantly poorer service for Peterborough, am shocked the Kodak kid hasn't sprung up and blamed the Labour government for their self imposed impaling with the commuter
December 15, 2025 at 12:20 PM
Starmers Labour are in a mess, they forget the reason they were voted in for and instead have allowed themselves to be backed into the Farage corner that the Tories once occupied.

Shockingly poor strategy

Starmer has to go in 2026
December 15, 2025 at 10:56 AM
Not enough 'Anglo Saxon' shops in Peterborough apparently.

That and toilets.

🤷
December 15, 2025 at 10:14 AM
I fully support Labours plans to renationalise the railways

BUT the railway must be accountable to the customer

The new Eastcoast mainline timetable, and the negative effects on Peterborough- less seats - poor departure times - will only haunt the cities Labour MPs

Peterborough deserves better
December 15, 2025 at 9:47 AM
So Bristow is demanding the current government delivers for our region, what he couldn't convince his own government to do....

Wrong character for cross party working sadly.

Robinson Yaxley Lennon grifting off the back of nationalist Christianity is hardly a shock.

If you struggle with the notion of feeding hungry children or supporting the disadvantaged, you aren't a Christian, regardless how you self identify.

New @lner.co.uk timetable from tomorrow

I see the local MPs arent too pleased.

Wish me luck

I must be honest and not a great fan of @lner.co.uk running 7 car trains instead of 9 car.

Seems counterintuitive to offer less seats

Let's hope more effort has gone into Sunday
December 12, 2025 at 9:56 AM
The campaign thar saved the Peterborough youth Tiger bus pass, shows that people power can win.

But Bristow needs to get off his backside and start looking at supporting Peterborough (and Cambs) businesses utilise these youth passengers

Better evening and weekend buses to connect to leisure.

Odd speaking with non political friends and colleagues who also are put off from visiting the USA this year.

Dont think we will be visiting this year.
December 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM
Is there any irony, that the only private companies that will be operating railway services, excluding the niche open operators, will be in London and Liverpool and both have Labour mayor's. I am sure someone with a brain cell on the right will realise this and highlight the potential hypocrisy
December 10, 2025 at 11:56 AM
So far, day 3 of using LNER

4 out of 6 trains have been late. Lateness between 7 and 24 mins
I always hope that for one week @lner.co.uk can run every train, with reasonable care and skill.

No delay....no cancellation

Today is not the bestest of starts

Kicked in the nuts by Network Fail.
December 9, 2025 at 6:25 PM
As a part of @lner.co.uk caring commitment they have removed 2 carriages and the predictable outcome for Peterborough service users is they are greeted by a full train.
December 9, 2025 at 9:15 AM
Peterborough political leaders have created a car dependent city and the Conservative mayor is continuing this trend.

They have seen the traffic mess that is Cambridge and said, hold my beer - we can do better

Car dependency isn't freedom
Never forget, car dependency isn’t freedom.

Some might ask “what’s more free than cars?”

Choices.

Choices are more free than car dependency.

It’s not a hard concept.

I’m not pitting cars against any other single mode of transport.

I’m rejecting design that creates dependency on just one mode.

Nobody likes paying higher prices, but too often we see fares being kept lower with zero investment to turn that into growth

The tube is struggling with closed stations due to staff, failures lasting days instead of hours

Pointless paying less if your station is closed or your train is delayed
