All my own views despite working at Tavistock Relationships, #couplestuff #megaliths #art #kindness #maps #Ottomans & more
Such an eloquent and important piece from #SiriHustvedt in today’s Observer on what we do with angry despairing feelings that are too painful to carry. Put them into someone else and hate them for just those things. #Projection explained simply by her. A native Minnesotan, nice.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

What I’ve just heard about a #Hackney secondary school makes me weep. Not Mossbourne. A child in their first term with more detentions than days attended. Lavatory access so rigid children are in danger of wetting themselves, and rules everywhere about everything. This is #bullying & unkindness.

Today’s recommendation has never seemed more helpful. Bear Grylls in @theguardian.com has bought an #apocalypse escape vessel. I’m off to build an #ark.

Keep watching - Trump and his circle almost have their precious goal: invoking the Insurrection Act.

As per said before: a great deal of what is being done is simply Trump and his circle working backwards from this objective.

This is an almost shockingly wise essay. I'm glad I've finally read it.
There Is No Mary Problem in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’
George’s vision of his wife without him is essential to the film, but critics continue to miss its true—and profound—meaning.

If you don’t yet follow @eastlondongroup.bsky.social then do. You’ll be treated to beautiful pictures and a lovely authoritative commentary.
This is "Stone Cottages" by John Cooper from the collection at the Hepworth, Wakefield. The painting is undated but I suspect that it comes from 1936 & that it could be either his exhibited paintings of "The Pink Mountain" or "The Road to Snowdon" rom that year #JohnCooper #EastLondonGroup

One of those slightly awkward British public transport journeys. I do not dispute her good hearted desire to save a busful of people at a time but all the usual avoidance strategies were played strongly. Hats off to the woman who pointed out, immensely politely, that she was already catered for.

Discharged, not into the sea (which would be bad enough), but into a LAKE!
Fueling the growth of toxic algae, and starving aquatic life of oxygen.
United Utilities is a greedy, disgusting and irresponsible company.
