The Directors Label by PALM was a short lived DVD collection of the very best film/music directors and curated their best most well known works alongside lesser seen curios. Inspiring and very much recommended.

Yep i strongly believe all artists should be seeing what other creative people are doing any other form and medium. Way to many game artists only look at other game / 3d artists or what’s exactly lining up with there own art preferences and ignoring the tens of thousands of years of human expression

While I’m talking storytelling, I’m gonna drop my top five pieces of advice I usually give out:

1. Ingest as much art as you can.

Not just watch/read other things, but also go to a gallery, live show, or some other artist effort even outside of your practice. I was inspired by a dinner recently.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again. If you think artists are just "naturally talented", you're deeply wrong. The only difference between you and us is that we kept trying when it didn't come out like we hoped.
You can always make art yourself. There's no bad time to start, you can start now.
