I research the social histories of houses across the UK! Most of my time is spent completing private commissions for homeowners but I also write books, give talks, write articles & do a little TV consulting. I also like to spread uplifting, encouraging & happy vibes out into the world [2/2] ☺️👋

A fantastic house in today’s #househistory feature in Bricks & Mortar in The Times! A Victorian house in Essex which was a school for almost 40 years! 😀 #househistories #Essex

Today’s #househistory feature in The Times is a lovely house in Morecambe - formerly home to nine times mayor, plus two local doctors, and a member of the Baxter family, famous for their potted shrimp!! #househistories #history #morecambebay

It was good to be back on Glastonbury Tor this morning for sunrise. I was away for a few days and then missed equinox yesterday due to a recurring health issue. I can't remember missing a solstice or equinox for years but I really couldn't manage it. Happy Autumn everyone. 😊💗

Today’s #househistory feature in The Times is a fantastic example of many houses across the country that has been occupied by working people for many years but was a vital part of village life for centuries! #househistories #Hampshire

Thanks...although sadly no reference to Montagu Archdeacon. The house I'm researching was owned by generations of one family for over 100 years 😊

Charles Ginner's work was painted from one of the windows of his sister's house at Boscastle in Cornwall in the late summer of 1928. Views from windows were a distinctive theme in his personal artistic vocabulary.
