I can’t quite articulate the betrayal I feel from the Biden Harris administration. I was all in. ALL IN. And they just…handed the keys to him. The one they said was an existential threat to democracy. They gave him the keys with a smile, and then just left us

Ever hopeful teen-aged me truly believed Winston and Julia would make it, that they would prevail. It was the death of any hope, the realization the Party won, that crushed my hopeful soul. I was profoundly disappointed. And so it is again

I read Animal Farm and 1984 in High School. We all had to. I was so depressed at the ending of 1984 that I never read it again. I described it to others as a dystopian nightmare, never thinking it was a warning or a true possibility. It just depressed me because it ended with such hopelessness

My dad just left. He’s a mentally ill narcissist with early dementia. He forgot his meds, so was going through withdrawal, combined with ongoing grief for my mother. I wish I could heal the broken little boy inside this insufferable man, but I can’t. Pic just cuz
