i have never seen so many people act like one popular indie game coming out had some kind of moral obligation to not overshadow other releases or to set a precedent for pricing or whatever like what's been going on with silksong on here. it's so bizarre. silksong isn't the only popular indie game

The atmosphere of the original mantle NES games in deltarune was probably the most invested I've been in a video game ever. The off-putting music that has parallels to tracks in the weird route but are just slightly off, the way the game seems to horrify Kris, and the explicit parallels to the weird route, the player forcing the 8-bit Kris to kill their friends, to become stronger. Then there's perfect reveal of 8-bit Kris coming out of the screen, removing any feeling of safety or detachment from Kris' reality. They know the player could, and is willing to use Kris up.
