Volos lived most of his life with this imaginary friend (later becoming his Esteem) talking to him. As a consequence, he became terribly fearful of silence.
He was pretty unstable during ShB when his Esteem's voice was silenced under the Wardens' light he absorbed.

A fledgling adventurer is at their weakest. Small embers that can be snuffed out by the cold winds of death. And yet, they can also be nurtured and guided, so one day they may also provide warmth and protection.

The new adventurer's guild in the Dravanian Forelands is open for business, with two vaths eagerly waiting to help any would be clients. And off to one side, clad in his most showy armor is Edgar. The gray skinned hrothgar stands as a stoic guardian for the naive vaths, to ensure all deals will be made in good faith and handled those who wouldn't.
