Whether this was random street crime or targeted political violence, I think it was bad for the president to unnecessarily put the National Guard in harm’s way like this. They simply don’t need to be there.

Shot by who? During what? Were they shot during law enforcement duties or just standing around? Was this a result of law enforcement or a targetted attack?
If it was during law enforcement then no shit. Replacing cops with soldiers doesn't stop crime. Instead of cops getting shot it is soldiers.

According to other outlets, other people were also shot that weren't NG, as well. I caution allowing the involvement of NG to become the entire narrative before the facts come out, as it will be seized upon by those wanting to declare martial law or expedite an "emergency," giving trump more powers
