Jaylen Clark's offense caps his output, but his defensive prowess continues to fuel the Timberwolves into playing some of their best basketball.

I detailed his lineup data with Naz Reid & Julius Randle, his impressive ON/OFF DRTG, and more below!
Jaylen Clark Remains An Awkward But Valuable Fit In Minnesota's Rotation - Zone Coverage
In today’s cap-apron era, it’s a major success whenever a front office can find impact minutes from a second-round draft selection. Franchises

Your Minnesota Lynx will be selecting 2nd overall with their pick via Chicago.

They came into the night with the second best odds, and that is where they stay.

More talent inbound.

Caught the final 3Q tonight.

In regards to the finish, I think it was just an all-around failure.

3 TO’s in the final 50 seconds. Ant inbound -> Randle TO driving into three defenders -> Randle panic TO on the next inbound.

Ant misses both FT's.

Finch sits on his final timeout amidst the chaos.

All of Rob Dillingham's FGA vs Washington

Pair of Bilal Coulibaly straight line drive and dunks in the 1H against Julius Randle defense.

First on a screen reject, second on a ghost screen.

Noticed these very very similar defensive possessions from Julius Randle over the last two games.

Worrying way too much about tagging the roller instead of his corner matchup.

Looks like Rudy Gobert can recover on both, but Randle allows an open 3PM both times.

Wizards win the 3Q 36 - 23

Anthony Edwards is currently shooting 5/19 from the field and 1/8 from three

Nobody allows final seconds of the quarter buckets like the 25/26 Timberwolves
November 20, 2025 at 2:50 AM
Anthony Edwards could not find Rudy Gobert's roll off the Zoom action.

But Jaylen Clark found him with the connective pass.

Jaylen Clark above the break 3PM

go figure

Quick after make bucket from Rob Dillingham.

Zooming up the court, past the horrendous Wizards defense.

Johnny Juzang on the bench with a perfect reaction to this Rudy Gobert kickout lol.

Great helpside defense from Jaylen Clark.

Giving Rob Dillingham some assistance while he tried to hold off Khris Middleton. Blocking his shot.

Cool fast break possession here.

Off the Anthony Edwards steal, it only takes two passes from Jaylen Clark up court, to Naz Reid in the corner.

Donte DiVincenzo's skip was a beauty.

Donte DiVincenzo to Anthony Edwards lob!

Clark shared some thoughts on how the defense can survive in these lineups.

"I just try to take the ball out of the PG's hands at the beginning of the play. Those few extra seconds may be the determining factors if they can break the paint or run the play that they have."

According to Cleaning the Glass, 159 of Jaylen Clark's 382 possessions played this season have come alongside a Julius Randle and Naz Reid, Big pairing.

Putting Clark alongside two spacing bigs should continue to be the focal point, as it allows him to be relevant offensively.
November 19, 2025 at 8:42 PM
The best thing Jaylen Clark can do to stay relevant offensively is to be a cutter.

Oftentimes, regarding prospects that lack a jumper, people will lazily say that they can be a cutter, but what JC does encapsulates the real result so well.

Great cut here to give Ant an outlet.

Some of Rob Dillingham's offensive struggles are epitomized in this possession.

Does a good job at attacking the Marshall closeout, but then is stuck between decisions.

Gets a second chance on the OREB swing, but hesitates to shoot, awkward dribble to then reset to Ant.
