Not long enough. We adopted her as a stray in 2017 and she passed in August of 2024. She had a lot of health issues, but in the end her kidneys ended up shutting down like too many other kitties.

Towards the end of her life she became blind and stopped grooming herself and refused to let us brush her. She was a lot less floofy getting shaved every 3 months, but she was never happier and more relieved after being shaved.

I love a good retelling. That being said I've read my share of bad ones.

Luckily this one lands with the good ones. The use of multiple perspectives is immaculate. The characters are wildly dynamic and well written
