Hi, I’m Allison!

Here’s the things I usually post or talk about:
- Memes and jokes 🤣
- My nerdy interests 🎮
- Painting Warhammer minis 🖌️
- My writing journey 📖
- Astronomy 🔭
- My cat, Elsie 🐈

On top of that, I always strive to be positive and uplifting. But be warned, there’s occasional chaos too!

Indeed!

You’ve read Dorley already. Would you be interested in reading some other works of Greaves? Say ‘kimmy’ or ‘When you fell from heaven’?

Also me with my future partner(s) who I hope to meet someday.

I think I would recommend the reading books kind of torture instead!

Okay then, how about breaded calamari on pizza?
doctorallisona.bsky.social
Both are very true when you have a cat.

Like…the fun kind from reading certain books or a much less fun kind?

Literally every day for the past 3 years she’s been like this!

I earned that PhD, I was a good girl for that PhD, I spent a whole year indoors avoiding the plague for that PhD, I willingly moved to Milton Keynes for that PhD, I transed my gender for that PhD…

Roundabouts. Concrete cows. That’s all it is!

It was the sauce that came with the dish. Some sort of sweet chilli, I think?

Annoyingly, I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the restaurant! I know it had a pacific menu theme and the dish was called ‘Hawaiian volcano beef, but I cannot remember the restaurant itself!

I can do those!

The best broccoli I ever had was in this one restaurant in San Diego, about 20 years ago. No other broccoli will ever live up to it!

A therapist I saw much later, once I was transitioning, remarked that I did in fact have a much more female-typical presentation of autism. It’ll probably be the same case once I go through the my ADHD diagnosis.

It was still the case in the early 2000s.

Teachers knew something was different with me, even got a professional in to discretely observe and try to figure it out. They ended up saying I had ‘signs of’ autism but overall it was inconclusive.

What? I never wore a lab coat once in my PhD!

In fact, I don’t think I ever wore anything aside from jeans, a t-shirt and a cozy jumper.

I’ve also known a Samuel L. Jackson and an Annie Lennox, also (apparently) named after the famous actor and singer, respectively. They’re actually both really nice and very successful in their own right—both of them now have PhDs!
