I went on Odds Law to tell Lola Katz Roberts that everything will be fine at Liverpool and they really shouldn't speak of sacking Arne Slot. Darkest hour before the dawn, and all that.

On the US broadcast, Rebecca Lowe said Moyes may have some words for him “if he’s still there”, and I like the idea that he just left the stadium entirely

I got let off for something similar once, and that was only because the ref didn't like the lad I slapped.

What is Gueye doing <right now> though? Four mins before half time, is he preparing to apologise or is he crouched behind the kit hamper preparing an ambush to finish the job? If ever a situation warranted cameras in the dressing room, it’s this one.

That is a sensational goal. Sheer bloody mindedness drove that home.

Fucking hell. And people say we should move on from ‘Everton that’ when the clowns keep on coming up with new ways to prove it’s a truth.

It’s possible I’ve missed something but is it really worth sending someone off and ruining a good game for that?

The run that took in Hodgson's demise was 7-in-12.
I thought this was going to say Roy Hodgson, but things never got that bad for Liverpool under the Roy I know of!
Liverpool's run of 8 defeats in 11 games is their worst since the 8-in-11 slump that took in the end of Roy Evans in 1998 and it's worse than the 7-in-11 that (mostly) followed the sacking of Souness in 1994.

Defeat to PSV would be 9-in-12 and worse than anything in PL era.

Why are Oasis so big in Chile? @jamesyoungg.bsky.social went to Santiago to find out.

The FM Classic Everton series continues apace over on Track Record. And by 'apace' I mean it's a depressing trudge to inevitable failure.

So it's very realistic.

Good morning! Would you like a concise yet comprehensive round-up of everything that happened in football's biggest leagues (and France) over the weekend?

Of course you would! And it's right here. Give me a click and I'll give you the world.

This is the first time since the opening game of the season when I’ve seen Leeds actually playing like a Leeds side.

I know you. You're a do-er. You don't have time for faff. You'd listen to more podcasts if they were tightly scripted, impeccably produced and they gave a concise, but comprehensive preview of the weekend's football.

You, sir or madam, need ROUTE ONE

Every morning should start with Test Match Special. I feel like everything is right with the world. I don't generally get that feeling when I listen to the news.

Do you want to watch in disgust as a middle aged man plays a nine year old version of Football Manager and writes about it as if it's real in the hope that people will click on his embedded podcast, thus legitimising a 33 year addiction?

Do you want a full preview of the weekend's football squeezed into 15mins of audio? Of course you do. You're important. You're busy. And you're rather good looking too, if I might be so bold.

Here's the new look ROUTE ONE

The new look ROUTE ONE is now live, this is the weekend preview episode and what a fun weekend it promises to be. Hopefully this includes Southend Altrincham...

The NLD is arguably the main event though, previewed here by @tim-stillman.bsky.social and @windycoys.bsky.social

We've got a lovely @routeonepod.bsky.social today. JJ Bull is still reeling from Scotland's performance, @tomwfootball.bsky.social l can't believe how good Wales were, and Produce Helena has done a fine job on the montage.
