Rights aren’t conditional on Vance’s approval, and minimizing someone’s public execution by ICE Gestapo sends the message that power gets a free pass while ordinary people are expected to just shut up and take it.

They get out and immediately there's a crowd of 100 people shouting at them, blowing whistles as loud as they can."
