of the different hotels I've ever stayed in, I believe this is the first where I'm *directly* across from some kind of industrial chemical products facility

One of the more confusing things about hotels nowadays is which ones do some kind of regular housekeeping and which ones are "you're on your own"

While still imperfect, I am getting better at reducing my alcohol consumption on business trips (which has been a long-standing issue I have with business travel). I turned down two offers for after dinner drinks and came back to my hotel room.

Walking around downtown Phoenix to avoid the sun is a whole new brain muscle. Like you gotta triangulate the sun with nearby buildings to ensure you have a shaded stretch. Constantly.

I can sleep on planes but that flight isn't long enough to get a proper rest, so I usually end up napping later in the day after I get back
