the newer cathay pacific 777-300ER has a feature I have not seen previously but is extremely helpful. it has a map of the plane, a marker for your seat, the closest bathrooms, and whether they are occupied or not.

I will be transiting through Hong Kong later tonight and I'm not sure if I will see the remants of the large fire scene from the air. Either way, passing through there is gonna feel a bit weird I think.

I saw a person here in the airport carrying a garment bag with the brand (I've never heard of) "menzclub" written on it, and part of me wanted to just straight up buy the guy a different garment bag. Like, I don't even know you or what any of this is, but you cannot be walking around like that.

Two weddings and one work customer visit down; one conference to go.
While I am generally fine with travel for both work and personal reasons, this will be the most I've logged in an ~2.5 week span. If the airport distance calculator I used is correct, it will be just under 36k miles in total.

I try not to offer too many travel opinions, but yet another of my "I'm one of 3 remaining people that think this" is that for carry on luggage, two wheel luggage is superior to spinner luggage.

Also, I've been really impressed with the holiday decorations here in the Philippines. They're exceptionally well done. The only piece missing is actual winter weather tbh.

I watched Girls Will Be Girls on the plane which also stars Kani Kusruti from All We Imagine As Light. While it had a few snippets that felt a hair off, I thought it was very insightful with regards to human nature and the baggage we each carry. Felt like watching again, I'd pick up more subtleties.
I watched "All We Imagine As Light" on the plane here and it was exceptionally intimate and wonderful. The movie also does a great job of capturing the real life vibe of India on a screen without weirdly overdoing it. Especially the Mumbai monsoon time.

It seems there is an Australian youth baseball team on my flight today.
I guess because it's going into summer here now, there's baseball here? Which makes me consider the idea of getting into random southern hemisphere baseball for the off-season.
