The elimination of USAID was an unforgivable moral atrocity that should haunt Trump, Elon Musk and Marco Rubio for the rest of their days and beyond
One analytical model shows that, as of November 5th, the dismantling of U.S.A.I.D. has already caused the deaths of 600,000 people, two-thirds of them children. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/jUzNSc
The Shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. Has Already Killed Hundreds of Thousands
The short documentary “Rovina’s Choice” tells the story of what goes when aid goes.

Dominic Cummings was always an absolute arsehole.

The Conservative right loves to talk up imagined genius among their ranks when in truth there's nothing there but attitude, flex, and pose. Mogg, Johnson, Gove, Cummings. All tiresome little nobodies trotting out rehashed nonsense. Often nasty.
I’m afraid that’s mainstream conservative / centre right opinion now. They’ve always suspected minority folks’ ‘success’ and now they’ve got a licence to express it

Best of luck to the faithful tonight. We’ve all had enough of deception and lies this year...
She’s acting all nice and normal. It’s weird
Jeez what the hell has happened to her - has she been kicked in the head by a horse?
Journalists will be furious when they find out what was happening under the Tories
That’s why it’s hard - I meant politically. Clearly from a practical point of view it’s very easy to
The fuel escalator is a no brainer (easyish politically) and it’s incomprehensible that it hasn’t been increased
Congestion charging was introduced in one city 25 years ago! Apart from that it’s very very difficult. Motorway pricing happened on one road! 30 years ago. These things are hard - at least in this country
Clearly Tominey’s comment is outright garbage and the BBC’s definition is risible. However is there a clear definition of ‘Democratic socialism’? Potentially using more than 7 words
But it isn’t simplistic if we want to charge more for busy roads (which we do). It’s not fair to charge where there is no public transport
The Robert Harris book (albeit a historical novel) An Officer and a Spy is sensational
Do you’ve read it and chosen to ignore that bit.
The first seven words is all that matters. I like presenters that talk to us like it is 2025 not 1925
I mean I am with you in where the blame lies (so accept I am biased) but as a piece of radio that was just horrible for the listener. No insight at all.
I had to turn it off it was unbearable 😱😱😱
She literally said it was her own fault in the article
And does Paris get more tourists BECAUSE it has no royal family or DESPITE it? Maybe without the Windsors London would get even fewer tourists? I really don’t know (or care particularly) but your point is illogical.
Childish and nasty but unfortunately many many American voters feel that way
AOC (US congresswoman) has said exactly that - America does not have just one face and the Democrats don’t either
I wonder if polls are overestimating the size of the younger vote - they may say they are likely to vote but in the event don’t actually do so. And if so, they are underestimating the size of the rightwing (older) vote. In other words - are they correcting for actual behaviour (not just stated)?
Does the YouGov poll take likelihood to vote into account I wonder?
