Person getting on a train earlier with a huge pram.

A megatruck of a pram that could barely fit into the train, and people squeezing themeselves out of the way, until...

They realise that there isnt a baby in this McMansion on wheels, but a small pampered dog.

And suddenly, tollerance evaporated.

Thought I’d do a mega hread on NPR, partly because I’ve seen some London based commentary that doesn’t really get the bigger picture quite right imho

And yet turn up to any decent sized housing development planning meeting, and the locals will demand a new school while the council officials look on in horror.
There's too many primary school places in London for not enough kids. So schools are competing to stay alive, copying private school marketing tactics with Instagram ad campaigns — and in one case offering a £50 Amazon voucher referral scheme for parents. www.londoncentric.media/i/184437718/...
Amazon vouchers to fill school places
Plus: How engineers installed phone signal on the London Underground, how many freemasons can you fit in a police force, and the house with a swimming pool in the middle of the living room.

Moore on the moove
This week saw the Henry Moore Large Standing Figure: Knife Edge in Greenwich Park being removed from the park to be included in Henry Moore: Monumental Nature at @rbgkew.bsky.social 🏛️

The sculpture has been a familiar feature of the park's landscape since 1979, but don't worry it will return 🙌

Think how much it would cost to build a ticket hall at each station, often two of them, then staff them as well.

Will cost a vast amount of money.
