i think people default to viewing themselves as the baseline, but in the art space of course the best stuff often rises to the top so it can feel like your surrounded by lots of people that are better then you.

i think this is what results in you feeling your art is just below average (or "just ok"

I've been so tickled after making the ceramic sphinx in my last post that I couldn't help but draw them for some fun this weekend :)
The same ceramic sphinx in the last post now digitally illustrated. In the top panel it sits with a giant grin, speaking.
