Artwork showcase of the characters I drew for a DnD manual: Lineages of the Long White Cloud vol 2. It features a ranger based on the harlequin gecko, a bard based on the kokako bird, a kakapo-bear creature, and a rogue based on the sacred kingfisher.

Playing card design featuring the two forms of Atlas the dragon (OC belongs to lyka-ios). In their default form, they have white feathers and golden horns. In their alternate form, they have black fur and dark horns.

Birdify commission for wind-wyrm of their dragon OC reimagined as a heron-like bird creature. They have mostly green feathers, with brown horns and a yellow underbelly.

I don't have any real advice on that front unfortunately bc I struggle with the same exact thing 😭 there's a HUGE discrepancy between my original and fan art and that's one of the huge negatives and why I don't use it more often

The communities thing sounds interesting, might have to give it a try!

Bsky technically allows you to schedule posts, but only through 3rd party apps (ugh) so I never really bothered. I'm not entirely sure if you can schedule reblogs through those apps anyways.

And YEAH lmao I'm still very confused on their current stance on NSFW after the initial ban years ago

Yeah I did notice that a big advantage that Tumblr has is that posts have a much longer lifespan there without needing for people to self-reblog! I think the queue system helps out, so your post will still get attention days and weeks later depending on how long their queues run

In short, the CEO (and other staff members) are arguing and being dismissive towards their community over concerns that sitewide bans aren't being enforced fairly (especially in the case of a prominent transphobe). It's gone as far as them censoring posts that are critical of the CEO :/

I'm starting to use Tumblr more and it definitely has its pros and cons compared to Bsky. I still think Bsky is a better place for me to post art personally, but... yeah it's probably good to branch out a little bit given recent events on site.

Posting to Tumblr can be frustrating sometimes (especially since my stuff doesn't do as well compared to here) but seeing people write really nice things in the tags almost makes it worth it 🥹
