"What does it mean to delay the application of the AI Act for the high risk category as proposed? It means deep fakes are still legal. It means generated, targeted medical scams are still legal." — @alexandrageese.bsky.social #EuroskyLive

I so want to just throw divine.video out to the world, but that's not the responsible thing to do. When I realized it's going to get a lot of attention and use, we had to step back and make sure we had systems in place for it to scale both the servers and trust & safety systems.
We're not ready to launch yet. We found flaws in the way we were detection AI content and some bugs that let users post videos longer than 6 seconds and a few spam related issues. We've got solutions to these issues, but need to implement them.

We have a mini launch today with two new blocking features on Bridgy Fed:

1. For ATProto and ActivityPub, you can now use the "block" DM command to block multiple users at once 🙅🏼‍♂️🙅🏼🙅🏼‍♀️

2. For ActivityPub, you can now subscribe to ATProto Block Lists over the bridge 📃🚫

More in our latest blog post:
Launch: New Blocking Features on Bridgy Fed
Bridgy Fed has always had a simple way to block users over the bridge, whether the other user is bridged or not. If the user is bridged, you can use your native platform’s blocking features. If the u...
