I've never been a single-issue voter, but this one might win me over. I'd even be okay with bringing back pay toilets if there were subsidies for folks who needed help affording them.

Daffodil, fancy and mid-stretch. He has zero street smarts but is a master at making humans do his bidding.

Itโ€™s cute when it means you apologize to a lamp for bumping into it. Itโ€™s not cute when you use it to claim a computer program sincerely regrets all the child sexual abuse material itโ€™s been making.

I will apparently be doing a lot of attempting to restore antique furniture with my ex, then, I guess

Those lights are awful! Flashed my brights at an oncoming driver on a dark country road the other night because I was sure he had forgotten to switch his off - he flashed back at me to show me that no, those had just been his *regular* headlights, his brights were giant searing laser beams.

My first year on the high school newspaper was the year my school got 6 Mac Classics for us to do the layout on. I just missed having to use a phototypesetting machine. Our advisor didn't know how to use the Macs, she just told us to ... figure it out lol (we did)

People need to put the DATE of their yard sale on their FB marketplace posts and the signs they put up around town. Putting "Saturday" or worse, "Today!" is NOT sufficient. There's a Saturday every week, and a Today every day, and if I don't know WHEN you wrote that, how do I know WHEN to show up?!?

Why should only toddlers or toddler-adjacent people get to see the trucks and eat the nuggets? As a 50yo woman who currently has no toddler friends, I am offended at being excluded from this plan.

I mentioned to my ex-husband that it seemed like men were being less creepy lately and his response was that it just seemed like that to me because I wasn't a cute 25yo anymore
What's an insult you'll never forget?

Someone should design a type of escrow that individual citizens could hold their federal withholding in until it's due each year. Just delaying delivery of that $$ could be pretty disruptive, I would think, and being able to earn interest on one's own income would likely be popular across the board.

Isn't communication between inmates typically prohibited (or restricted, at the very least)? I suppose the help of a third party could explain the postmark (and possibly even why it never reached its intended recipient) but a postcard with a prison return address on it seems like an odd choice.

Today is Homeless Persons' Memorial Day.

As unhoused people are brutalized, criminalized, and vilified nationwideโ€”and with so much invested in obscuring the root causes of homelessnessโ€”it's important to be clear: people are homeless because they have been deprived of housing they can afford.

I thought friends grew under the ground like potatoes; no wonder I haven't found any.

Looks good on mobile; the bottom display is a little imposing but also useful. Gets in the way of being able to see any patterns though because I can only see a couple of months at a time at the top.

I made a Chrome extension that swaps Times New Roman for Calibri on every site or just .gov. It also had Open Sans and Open Dyslexic, because f**k these people.

Iโ€™m waiting for Googleโ€™s approval for it to install automatically, but you can download it and install it in 90 seconds. Instructions ๐Ÿ‘‡

I fed it a photo from a drain pipe repair I did in my backyard over Thanksgiving (not art!). Claude mistook new pipe for "old corroded pipe" but also noticed the post I had wedged under the slab to prevent it from sinking. GPT was less detailed but that also prevented it from getting things wrong.

Idk but from the name of the no no pills I have to wonder if maybe they're not a good idea? Unless they're called that for some paradoxical reason

I've long wondered if it wouldn't be possible to design a specific type of escrow that individuals could open that their federal withholding could go into until due each year - why do we have to send it to the feds along the way, we should be able to earn interest on it until it's due.
