Born #OTD in 1837, the inspiration for #SherlockHolmes, Joseph Bell, JP, DL, FRCSE (2 Dec 1837 – 4 Oct 1911). Had Doyle never met Bell in 1877 at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, there likely never would have been a Sherlock Holmes. Raise a glass today to celebrate the memory of Joe Bell!
Yikes! We have some catching up to do.
