13 years ago today, FTL released on Steam and your support and enthusiasm for the game completely changed my life. It allowed me to quit my day job, focus on music full-time, and afford health insurance for me & my partner. I had wanted to work in games since I was a teenager. Thank you everyone!

Sorry Video Games Europe, but I completely disagree with this. For example, SimCity 2013 was originally online only, but EA made an offline version months later. It's shown it can be done to make games work offline even when it's supposedly online only.
