One last story from me in Kansas City: The Washington Spirit felt they did enough to win, but the #NWSLChampionship was changed by a single moment. In all but one other season, they'd have won the #NWSL Shield. W/ rookies, stars + Giraldez, their long-term project has only just begun.

During the longest U.S. government shutdown (Dec 22, 2018 - Jan 25, 2019) under the Trump administration, national parks struggled without essential services. Trash overflowed, restrooms became unsanitary, and fragile ecosystems suffered damage. (1/4)
