Every reason I didn't want a basement has proven to be true. Unnecessary extra space, below ground units have too many issues, and all around creepy.

Like, I am so damn tired of responsibilities. Apartment living freed me from one more set of things to worry about . . . and now this. I let folks sell me on the dream of owning a [too-big] home, and now all I do is spend money and time on it.

The issue is, you meet a guy outside of the apps, y'all vibe for a moment, go your separate ways because it was just a moment in time, and you try to return to the apps but can't because it's janky there and meeting people organically is just so much nicer.
