You are not wrong friend but nothing happens by coincidence. There's a reason he asked you, you're awaken and only an awaken can ignite the light within for someone to manifest its spiritual awakening. I think you know what to do now.

I really feel that instead if trying to “manifest” something specifically, if I focus on becoming the most authentic, real, uninhibited version of myself that I can be & let that explode out into all areas of my life, the things I’m going to “manifest” will be wilder than I could possibly imagine.

Exactly, manifestation is a way of life...
It has to be natural, come with ease and comfort. Manifestation is one of the most difficult things to incorporate spiritually but once it is done, trust me you'll enjoy it.
