I am a film lover, I will go out of my way to see movies on (good) film prints, but the only thing this post shows is:
1) Digital versions got a new (better) color grade
2) That film scan was done poorly and a lot of the details are obscured
3) A lot of the fan film scans+recolors are bad

Pixar designed Toy Story to be printed on physical film. The Disney renaissance movies were the same.
Today, it's hard to see them as they were meant to be seen. The versions on streaming and home media aren't quite the same films that ruled the '90s:
