Utilizing congressional advocacy and local activism to save democracy. We/our/ours. All roads to DC run through the AV.™ #CA27 #OperationYouthToTheBooth
We normally don't post events held by other organizations, but the AV Democrats for Change club is having a non-perishable food drive this Saturday at Transplants in Palmdale from noon to 2:00 PM. If you can drive by and drop off whatever you can, it would be greatly appreciated.

This should not happen at all, but it definitely should not happen without a fight.
We currently pay $1500 for two of us. This will go up to at least $2400 a month and possibly more.

There's an OLD BB King blues song, "The Thrill is Gone" that fits this situation.

Fighting UNITED? That's like returning to an abusive relationship because the partner says you're better together.

Sen Whitehouse, to quote BB, "we're free from your spell."
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

We predict that #CA40 will be the Prop 50 district race to watch in 2026!
November 6, 2025 at 1:27 AM
Under the new Prop 50 maps, Ken Calvert is now going to be in the same district as Young Kim. He has just announced that he will be running against her.

GOP v GOP. They're splitting the vote.

Can everyone cease using the phrase "Democratic party chaos"? The 2026 midterms are going to be insane.

You can track the official #Prop50 results here. At one point, YES was up to 68%. It will even out, but regardless it will be a DECISIVE win. Don't let anyone convince your community otherwise. That's designed to be voter suppression for 2026.

When everything gets to be too much, remember the great Rep John Lewis's words. If we ever want to get the John Lewis Voting Rights Act passed, first we have to get people to vote #YesOnProp50 until the polls close tomorrow.

Then prepare for the next fight to come, because that WON'T be the end.

Translation for the Do Somethings out there. The ones knocking Jeffries. It's simple.

House GOP say "You can eat or you can go to the doctor. Not both. House Dems need to take what we're offering so THEN we can use our majority to make sure you can't do the other and keep our majority in 2026."

Can people PLEASE stop talking about the Nazi tattoo guy for JUST 5 MINUTES and talk about how you can help people in your state whose FOOD might be cut off? We need House Dems to stay the course. They may not be able to justify that.

People are starting to get 2026 health care enrollments.
California is deploying the California National Guard to quickly assist families whose federal food benefits are halted because of Donald Trump's government shutdown.

We won't let the GOP's cruel inaction force millions of Californians to go hungry.

Everyone who has been ranting online about House Dems not doing anything:

They're doing something. It has very real consequences. Find a local food bank and ask how you can help. Maybe donate some money or canned goods this week.

House Dems need to stand firm and we all need to help them.
The Trump Administration has informed Wisconsin DHS that federally funded food assistance (known as FoodShare) will run out of money next month. Those who receive FoodShare benefits are encouraged to stock up on non-perishable items BEFORE November 1st with whatever balance they have available.
