Er wordt nog steeds fel geprotesteerd in Zuid Korea. Gisteren in de standoff bij Namtaeryeong die meer dan 24 uur duurde. Veel jonge twintigers mn vrouwen en lhbtiq+ers nemen het voortouw. Veel humor ook. Deze vlag: "Alliance to destroy Elon Musk's testicles with a spinning kick"(via Yejin Gim) ;) 🫶

Toch wonderlijk dat wensdenken van veel linkse mensen dat @d66.nl een progressieve partij zou zijn. Het is gewoon een ordinaire machtspartij die meebeweegt met het electoraat. Dus nu naar rechts. Laten we D66 klein houden in #Amsterdam.

Van Boxtel zegt wat de D66-partijtop wil. Ik geloof er niks van dat dit niet afgestemd is.
Ik denk dat D66 al lang met VVD CDA wil. Maar ze kunnen GL-PvdA niet meteen passeren omdat ze dan minstens kwart van hun kiezers kwijtraken. Ze sturen erop aan (buiten Jetten, die erboven blijft) door het als 'pragmatisch', 'snel', 'onvermijdelijk', 'landsbelang' te spinnen. Media doen eraan mee.

Terug naar huis kwam ik langs een KPop-store Hey! Hallyu openingsrij van de Leidsestraat naar de Prinsengracht, met meiden voor 'Stray Kids' foto's. Die kan ik dan weer beter hebben want dat is dan voor een middag. Maar mijn buurt is een grote rij voor koop- dan wel vreettenten.

We have to praise the parliamentary staff, advisors and members of parliament who were at the Parliament when the martial law was announced.
These heroes barricaded themselves in and prevented the military from being able to go inside, successfully securing the Parliament from a total shut down.

Today marks one year since the Dec. 3, 2024 martial law declaration that rocked South Korea and still reverberates today. What’s on my mind today is the grit of South Koreans who rushed to the National Assembly that night, in freezing weather, to demand a return to democratic government.
