Six of the 12 tracks are written Strummer-Jones. Despite the lineup, Foley’s work is better recognized for her collaboration with Meatloaf on “Bat Out of Hell.” Singer Karla DeVito lip-synched Foley on the video for “Paradise By the Dashboard Light.”

St. Louis native Ellen Foley was in a relationship with the Clash’s Mick Jones, who produced the album. That relationship was the inspiration for “Should I Stay or Should I Go?” After the Clash wrapped up “Sandinista!,” the band, musicians and engineers turned their attention to “Spirit.”

This little gem arrived today. The second solo album by this singer/ actress of stage, screen and television. It’s notable for the backing band: The Clash.

Debut EP from guitarist/vocalist Doug Ward’s outfit. He went on to play an important role in Underground and the Chicago punk scene, working with Screeching Weasel and lots of other local bands.

The Bollweevils “Stick Your Neck Out” 1994 Dr. Strange Records

These guys met during the naked, reg era, wrote them a fan letter and were subsequently invited to open for them at Metro. Frontman Daryl Wilson is an ER doc in the Chicago area.

Bootleg of a show at what would have been called Cabaret Metro back in 1986. Includes a few Misfits tracks - Death Comes Ripping, London Dungeon. This is tail-end Samhain on the way to becoming the band Danzig.
