I'm excited by returning to the international market with aggressiveness and intelligence. DeWitt, Mo & Co. always seemed uncomfortable there. Hence, they have a lot of the same guys on roster. The talent (and energy) these players bring is so much fun – not a word associated with #StlCards.

We are losing something by having newsrooms where everyone who has more than a few years’ experience has gotten fired. I don’t fault a young writer for not knowing about things that happened before she was born. But now there are no editors to help give context to these stories, either.

How is it possible that after 25 years, Bill DeWitt still cannot speak about payroll in a normal way. Just be clear. This is obviously not true. (Or, if it is, this is one of the worst run business ventures ever.) The lack of follow-up questions to this was a miss. #StlCards

Ugh. “Five games out of a playoff spot.” That’s the kinda crap we’ve had to deal with on the broadcast. This team finished 19 games back in a division they once owned, and closer to last-place Pirates than second-place Cubs. A bad playoff system doesn’t make a good team. They ain’t close. #StlCards

If only we could figure out a physical way to ticket events, some sort of small document the buyer could carry, and they alone would be allowed to use it and sit in that seat. Maybe we could even make them colourful, or use pictures, and the buyer could then hold it as a keepsake of said event.
