🛠️ Your AI agent is only as powerful as the tools you give it. Build made-to-measure MCP servers, CLI scripts & custom Skills for your project. Free live session with @isaac_flath and @intellectronica Dec 16 🚀 maven.com/p/af33a0/ex...
Extend Your AI Agent with Custom Tools
A generic AI agent is merely competent. An agent equipped with tools tailored to your environment, your codebase, and your workflows becomes genuinely powerful. In this session, we'll build custom tools live — MCP servers, command-line scripts, and Claude Skills — so you can see exactly how to create them yourself. Walk away ready to extend your agent for your own work.

Gemini always thinks, GPT is useless without thinking ... but when it comes to Claude, the models are great even without thinking, and it's hard to tell exactly when to turn thinking on. Claude Opus 4.5 helped me understand and created this guide. gist.github.com/intellectro...

💡 Coding ≠ Software Development

(it's much more general and powerful)

An incredibly important insight that hasn't yet sunk in with everyone, is that agentic coding capabilities aren't just about developing software like applications and services.

Claude Code in Desktop is a nice addition. I probably won't be using it much, but I've been looking for something to recommend to non-programmers wanting to get started with agents, and this is going to be a lot easier for them.

First impressions: Claude Opus 4.5 is AGENTIC NINJA. Forget about the benchmarks. Run some tasks (with agents, skills, coding) and you immediately notice how precise and efficient it is.

Shit Eleanor Says

・ You know what you should do? ....
・ You can run an experiment to find out ...
・ Did you try asking AI?
・ Actually, I have an opinion ...

did I miss anything?

🎙️ Had a fun chat with @pamelafox on the @code Insiders Podcast about AI-assisted coding: models, tools, context engineering, agentic workflows, and my AI Coding Course with @isaac_flath.

Creating a frontier general AI model is extremely hard. Google Deep Mind managed to create the best (by a wide margin).

Next time you go down the street, observe the people around you. They look like normal, good citizens, right? But you know what's common to all of them? Back at their desk, or even at the coffee shop, unobserved, unsupervised, unintimidated ... they all YOLO. Just like you.

Gemini 🤝 Skills

💥 Yes, Gemini 3 works great with skills, using the Skillz MCP server.

If you use Gemini CLI and want access to skills, there's an extension for that:

Getting a (Swiss-German speaking) Swiss person to speak Standard German is basically impossible. They'll speak English, they'll speak French, they'll sign with their hands, they'll smile and nod patiently, but you won't catch them speaking even a single sentence in Hochdeutsch.

I asked @julesagent in no-repo mode to create a cool uv-runnable @textualizeio demo, test and iterate on it until it's ready. It worked for a while and produced this, which I could download and run locally. Nice.
