Competitiveness aside, for me it goes far beyond winning or losing or seeing my little delicately arranged stacking of odds to get the dice to do what I want.

It is that all of this has to feasibly happen while I also address whatever the other player is doing. It's a balancing act!

I like to find the fun dice mechanics that definitely feel like edge cases.

Like auto wounds on an otherwise bad weapon profile.

Hearing the words "That shouldn't have happened."

Or "It happened AGAIN!"are often so much of the fun the puzzles wargames demand I pull off against their mechanics.

Started playing Monster Sanctuary because it seemed like a good game to play while kinda exhausted from not getting as much sleep yesterday.

Enjoyed it more than we expected. Mechanics will definitely make Verity sink her fangs into it at some point.

We need to go to bed tho.
