When I think of hard times in the past I have started to envision myself at that time in my life. Then I visualize my present self giving my past self a hug. It is a powerful exercise for me and I'm sharing this new found tool with anyone who will listen. 🫂

I believe this is connected to the christian nationalist belief that women deserve to suffer pregnancy and menstrual pain to pay for what Eve did. It also stinks of blaming any challenges with children or bringing pregnancy to term on women. The cruelty is the point.

I treated myself to halibut and chips. Oregon halibut is one of my greatest pleasures in this life when cooked right. Have mercy it was good!

Deep fried halibut fish and waffle cut chips. Served with cilantro and lime slaw, lemon, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Sitting on a table with an Oregon coast sunset.
