This is one of the few full color pages of Burn It Down, and yet it is a memory of Anna's of coming home on her bike to the car windshield having a large hole like a rock jumped up from the road.

But the hood also has a huge dent. She opens the door to the house. "Mom? What happened to the car?" There's no answer. "Mom? ...Anthony? Are you home?" There's still no answer. She does however find her mother in the kitchen. Her mother's face is shielded from the last panel, but her hunched posture holding her arms gives away more than words need. "... Mom?"

Do you remember the world before social media? Yeah it still sucked in its own way. Burn It Down is more than 50% of the way funded! You can help bring this to goal and get the first volume as well in physical form for just $30! We're also almost to 300 backers so far!

"Hey! Asshole!" Anna calls out to Frank, who surprisingly stops and listens with a furrowed brow as she makes demands. "You're doing this project with me and if you don't show your ass up to the library every day I will find out where you live and burn your house down." she says the last part with emphasis but Frank doesn't seem really affected.

"Ok, wow. Seems a little agressetory. You need a cig or something?" he's more surprised at her energy about it.

"Fuck you! I am not getting a C because of you!"

"A C?" He makes a fake concerned expression. "Oh no, how horrible!" Then he drops it as he turns to head out. "I got better things to do than sit in a fuckin' book prison all afternoon."

I read this earlier this year and I love LOVE (LOVE) Burn It Down. It's almost entirely monochrome except for Anna's hair throughout the story and certain pages. Incredible story of being so frustrated yet powerless because you are too young to make your own choices.

Burn it Down is one of the most impactful stories I've read this decade. Highly recommend checking it out.
Rigsby WI in general captures the feeling of being a teen in small town America during the 2000s more than anything I've ever read.

we've imposed some nice books so Anna doesn't have to look at whoever is snickering in the background. Her eyeliner at least looks good right now. Anna is the only person in the panel with color to her with her red hair. There's several books that you can pick up with Rigsby WI

Probably one of my favorite comics of all time, I highly recommend it. The art and writing is excellent. It also really hits so differently as someone who was also a Wisconsin teen in the 2000s.
