J G Ballard anticipated the decay of the UK into right-wing domination and racism 20 years ago in his novel Kingdom Come. Farage is using the Hitler playbook. Demonise 'migrants', make them scapegoats for all of our problems.
Want to understand the sickness of Britain today? Look no further – a novel explained it all 20 years ago | Aditya Chakrabortty
The racism, the predatory politics, the banality and cruelty: we struggle to make sense of it, but JG Ballard foretold everything we are living through now, says Guardian columnist Aditya Chakrabortty

Known popularly in the U.K. as the Farage Garage!
"Five years after leaving the EU, friction is still hitting supply chains and customers pay the price.
The OBR has already warned about the economic damage caused by Brexit: championed by Nigel Farage.
And if he wins?
It will only get worse."

What fair funding this mean for us?
• £198.4 million for Cornwall in a new 4-year local government settlement.
• 27% increase in funding over 4 years, whereas the Tories only increased funding by 6% between 2015/16 and 2019/20.
• Multi-year settlement so Cornwall Council can plan for the future.

This is incorrect. Under Biden the US was ‘donating’ US military equipment that was being decommissioned: minimal value.

Europe as a whole spent $201.7bn on Ukraine, compared to the US's $130.6bn from 2022-2025, according to Kiel Institute. Europe combined spent more money than the US.
Since 2022, the US has been Ukraine’s largest single donor (€114.6bn since 2022). That’s ~2× the EU, 5× Germany and 17× France - although Europe has done more collectively.

Still, Ukraine needs €135bn for 2026–27 alone and there's no easy path without US funding.
