If the billionaire oligarchs don’t destroy all of humanity via war and nuclear armageddon; if AI doesn’t; if all the other ways humanity could end don’t happen, then climate change will be there waiting patiently. Our timeline is undoubtedly doomed.
I retired from the US Army after twenty years in 2023. Everything you stated is correct. I was lucky enough to be grandfathered into the old “50% for 20” pension system.
The new system is an abomination, in my opinion. It is also a continuation of the stripping of benefits for our Service Members.

I am fortunate, in that I mostly live in my basement where the media room, LEGO room, and my bedroom are. It is consistently around 58°F year-round and just perfect for me.
